Baptisms and Ice!
Hello everyone! The last couple weeks have been crazy! i thought the south was supposed to be warm! The last couple days the car has been on lockdown so we have been on foot. We got hit with a storm monday morning. It snow about 3 or 4 inches, and when that happens everything shuts down. They have no plows or snow removal equipment! It was pretty crazy to experience an ice storm too last night. We all came into the apartment last night with a layer of ice on us. It was pretty insane! I guess missionaries are just crazy haha. Elder Hinckley finally got his VISA this week so now he is headed for Brazil, so Elder Waite, Elder Caldwell and I are in a threesome companionship until transfers next week. We had a baptism on Saturday, Ashley Quintero was baptized and i was able to confirm her on Sunday at church. It was pretty awesome. She understands the gospel better then most of the members here and i know that she will stay strong in the church. Other then it being cold and having to walk everywhere, everything else is going great! We get to have our interviews with President McConkie this week so we are all excited about that. And then transfer calls come on Saturday night, we already know that Elder Waite will be getting transfered back to Colorado haha. But Elder Caldwell and I will probably stay in Flo-town for another transfer. I hope everything is going well back out west and that it is started to warm up there for y'all, and i sure hope it starts to warm up here soon too! Thanks for all the prayers and i hope everyone has an awesome week! - Elder Hancock
